How Crumble plays
Build a party of up to 12 Cookies and drop into survivor-style maps. Cookies fight automatically while you focus on positioning: dodge attacks, group enemies together, and keep your backline covered so runs last longer.
The word idle in the genre tag is doing real work here. Your party keeps earning Gold and upgrade materials while the app is closed, and how much it earns is tied to how far into the campaign you have pushed. That single fact shapes most early decisions: progress is worth more than polish, because progress raises the floor on everything you collect overnight.
Team basics
The confirmed classes so far are Vanguard (frontline wave-clear), Defender (tanky anchor) and Shooter (ranged damage), with a Support role for healing and buffs described in pre-launch coverage but not yet pinned to a named Cookie. A balanced party beats stacking a single class, and it stops being close over long runs where a missing Defender means your Shooters get reached.
Early priorities
- Plan your first summons before spending pre-registration Crystals.
- Level one Cookie from each class early so you are never short on offense or survivability.
- Prioritize a strong Defender and Shooter, since they anchor and carry early runs.
- Pick three to five Cookies and pour everything into them. A roster of twelve half-levelled Cookies clears less than a core of four properly invested ones.
- Push the campaign rather than replaying stages you have already beaten. New stages unlock modes and raise your offline income; old stages do neither.
- Redeem launch codes and claim mailbox rewards for free currency.
Where your resources should go
When you are unsure who to feed next, work down this order and you will rarely waste anything:
- Your main damage dealer, because clear speed gates everything else.
- Your Defender, because a dead frontline turns a good run into a short one.
- Your secondary damage and support Cookies, once the first two hold up on their own.
