The short version
Spend common materials to keep one working lineup moving. Save flexible premium resources until you know exactly what problem the purchase solves. Most early account stalls come from upgrading too many things, not from missing one perfect Cookie.
First priority: raise the account ceiling
Crumble EXP increases your Crumble Level, and that level raises the cap for your Cookies. A pile of Cookie EXP cannot help when the account cap is the thing holding everyone down. Keep stage progress, missions and Auto Hunt moving so the ceiling rises alongside the lineup.
Second priority: one complete lineup
- Choose a main damage Cookie and keep it ahead of the rest.
- Raise the Tank enough that the team survives normal waves.
- Give the Support enough investment for its utility to matter.
- Bring the remaining damage slots up after the core three are stable.
When a stage stops you
Do not immediately spend every saved resource. First claim Auto Hunt, check for unequipped gear, inspect the class balance and make sure the team is not sitting at its Crumble Level cap. The fix is often already on the account.
